Looking for a way to combine your technical smarts with your flair for art?

A highly sought-after pathway into 3D production, technical art is that beautiful bridge between artists and programmers. Our Diploma in Advanced 3D Production teaches you how to navigate it.

Produce 3D work to a photo-realistic standard and problem-solve technical issues. Learn about 3D asset creation, character/creature rigging, effects simulation, time management and self-critique.

In just 40 weeks, this practical programme will prepare you for the realities of today’s 3D production industry, building on your existing expertise and giving you the chance to specialise in an area of your choice. Hone your skills in environmental realism and master the industry-informed pipelines and workflows of team production. And best of all? You’ll produce an industry-standard showreel to boost your career opportunities.

What you'll learn

Environmental Realism

Learn to plan and execute a CG production pipeline by taking a real-world environment and replicating it as a photo-realistic 3D scene. You’ll master cool stuff like model production, digital sculpting, texturing, asset management, look development, CG lighting, compositing and post-production.

Team Production

Work in a simulated industry-style studio as a specialist to complete a large-scale project. We’ll delve into project planning and management, data management, industry practices, critical analysis, as well as further develop your skills in your chosen CG specialisation.

Research and Showreel

This is your capstone project for the year. Research the career specialisation you wish to pursue and design a project to bolster your showreel. Build your skills in project planning and scope, brief development, professional practice and critique. Finish the year with an industry-standard showreel to showcase your talents to employers.
